POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dealer Representative / Area Manager is responsible for promoting the use of company products and services. As a Dealer Representative, it is important to identify and remove obstacles to the continued growth of the company, identify and report competitive business models, support corrective actions initiated against dealerships, and maintain professional relationships with key dealership personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & PERCENT OF TIME SPENT:
The Dealer Representative is responsible for training and supporting company policies with essential dealership personnel. These duties include, but are not limited to:
- Loan Programs and New Products and Services
- Funding Procedures
- Rate Sheet Stipulations & Program Guidelines
- Look to Book Funding data
- Lien holder record data
- Competitive rate sheet gathering
- Weekly call log reporting
End-of-month activity reporting
- Suggesting specials for a particular market with respect to company’s Pricing Model
- Organizing and attending special meetings or gatherings with customers.
- Study and create action plans to improve business
- Address fraud issues with dealerships
- Report potential lending practice violations to EVP
- Enter notes from each dealer visit into the appropriate contact.
- Update all dealer contract information during visits, including phone, email, etc.
- Set goals and reminders within CRM for tracking purposes.
- Review monthly CRM report to gauge effectiveness of visits, plan future visits, etc.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- A thorough understanding of automobile dealers, credit unions and how the two relate.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Ability to solve problems involving several variables in applied applications
- Must have attention to detail and juggle multiple tasks at once
- Must be computer literate and proficient with the use of the internet, email, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word.
- Must have strong written and communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Must be willing to work in a retail-type environment with hours outside of normal business hours.
EXPERIENCE:
A college degree and/or equivalent years of specific experience in this field is preferred. Experience in a similar position working within an indirect lending program is a plus.
COMPENSATION: Base plus commission
