Mortgage Systems Administrator (Encompass)

Houston, TX | Full-Time, On-Site (In-Office Required; Hybrid Possible After Ramp-Up) | ~$80,000/year

FocusOne Mortgage is looking for a Mortgage Systems Administrator to own and optimize the technology platforms behind our mortgage operations — with Encompass at the center of it all. If you know your way around Encompass administration and understand how the pieces of a mortgage tech stack fit together, this role gives you real ownership over the systems that power our origination and servicing business.

You'll be the go-to person for Encompass configuration, vendor integrations, and system improvements — partnering closely with IT, vendors, and internal teams to keep everything running smoothly and to help build what's next.

What You'll Do

• Own Encompass administration end-to-end: business rules, user and security setup, milestone and channel configuration, and audit prep.
• Administer and support core vendor platforms — Optimal Blue, Lender Logix, Argyle, and Insellerate (Addy AI) — and act as the Encompass-side point of contact for MSP interface points.
• Lead implementation of new systems and programs, including the APS program (a ground-up Encompass build) and Encompass TPO setup for our correspondent lending channel.
• Support integrations across LOS, PPE, POS, and servicing platforms, coordinating connection points and data flow with IT and vendor partners.
• Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day Encompass use, troubleshooting, and updates.
• Act as the liaison between staff, clients, IT, and third-party integration partners — and keep everyone informed as systems change.
• Build and maintain Encompass reporting.
• Spot opportunities to improve processes and systems for efficiency and compliance.

What We're Looking For

• Willingness and ability to work on-site full-time in Houston; this is a required, non-negotiable expectation for at least the first several months in the role.
• 2+ years of experience administering Encompass and/or providing related IT support.
• Familiarity with other mortgage tech platforms (Optimal Blue, POS systems, or similar LOS-adjacent tools) is strongly preferred.
• Solid grasp of the mortgage lifecycle — origination through post-closing and secondary.
• Experience with system implementations, vendor integrations, or tech project management is a plus.
• Sharp problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Comfort juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
• Encompass360 certification preferred.

Compensation & Location

• Salary: Approximately $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
• Location: Houston, Texas. This position is on-site, full-time in-office. After a training and ramp-up period (typically 90 days), a hybrid schedule may be available at management's discretion for candidates who have demonstrated strong performance and can work independently on core systems.
